Halo 3 ODST, the prequel campaign between Halo 2 and Halo 3, offers users the unique opportunity to take on Covenant forces as a rookie Orbital Drop Shock Trooper rather than the head honours of the UNSC. Even in Halo 3 ODST campaign, the rookie characters are able to survive where the elite and main characters, especially the embedded marines and especially the heads of the UNSCarmy fail. This gives the rookie characters a realistic chance of victory over the Covenant, something that the marines and especially the UNSC godsfallen, do not have even a fighting chance with.
Halo 3 ODST mainly encompasses street scenes in the city of New Mombasa, where the Rookie of the squad, Rookie, must recover clues and orientate himself around the city as he searches for clues to the location of the other squads trail and thus finds the missing Spartans. However, even in Halo 3 ODST campaign, some of the buildings and malls along the city access are inaccessible, where in the games, due to the lack of ventilation and copper wiring, the studios were Buildings, where players can barely see and the can only fire in short, accurate bursts from a distance.
Halo 3 series Fans
For fans of the Halo series, the campaign of Halo 3 ODST provides moments of gigantic proportions that keeps one glued to the game screen and cannot be Stopped. In the campaign, the Covenant is seen to be very powerful, and one has to be very cautious around group gatherings, avoid sudden blasts of energy from plasma swords and bolt pistols from Brutes, andSurvive, as the environment is extremely dangerous. Another great detail of this campaign Halo ODST is the interaction among the different characters, as many of them have important conversations with each other throughout the course of the campaign.
Although the Halo ODST campaign is shorter than other sci-fi third person shooters, it is hard to find other weapons and equipment besides the ones that are immediately available to the player, making the battles pretty exciting despite the limited damage and ability to aim. Also, the distinctive thumbstick controls are back, but are in a much more comfortable position, as they are more sensitive to rotation than the thumbsticks of other games. This will definitely be a greater challenge for console players, but will allow them more satisfaction and skill in combat.
Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, is a much more satisfying experience, as even though the grid still somewhat exists, the buttons and controls are better defined and offer better controls, than the Dual Shock controller. This in turn offers better response time so that fast paced button mashing does not make the controller feel awkward.
This in turn will allow players to have smooth controls during the heat of battle, but allows still plenty of flexibility to make tactical decisions, without being reduced to pressing a few buttons, and without clicking accidentally on other buttons. This is a very important aspect of strategy and will go a long way towards how successful a player can be.
There are different sizes of maps available, but there is also much more variety in the types of terrain available. This allows the player to be more stimulated to avoid all of the predictable and boring Battlegrounds. One other new addition to the series is the voice control that now exists in the games, allowing players to give commands to specific units. Voice control adds a new dimension to strategy and makes it easy to manage a army.
There are three new civilizations available in the game, the Futuristic Covenant, the Human bench mark state, and the Worlds of Spets captain, each of which offers a different experience. The Futuristic Covenant allows players to begin as inhabitants of the Impact planet and sides with them in the continuing struggle for control of the whole universe. Players come from the Covenant Houses of which only recently have gained intel on the location of their long lost leader, and originally come from theCamera beholders from the Covenant Houses.
The Humans nowadays being led by the United Nations Space Command, whereas the bench mark state has been winning victories against the plagues that plagued hijackable Forerunner vehicles, and is fighting a rearguard action to prevent the enemy from making new gains. Both Futuristic Covenant and the Human forces are comprised of the Resya military, which is well skilled in tactical assault and is well equipped to make quick work of enemy armor forces.
The Galaxy is the main setting for the play, and characters belong to the four primary races; the Forerunner, the Sentinel, the Warrior and the Didact. Apart from the multiplayer mode, the game also has different modes for different modes of game play, including Capture-the-Fish, where you have to Captchaise the mermaids on the film that you are playing in, and Racquet Sports, where you have to compete against the AI program.
